My chennai patnam of old - Part 2

Mount road of 1905. It stretches from Guindy to Broadway. Something around 25 km. Looks superb indeed, right? Alas! If it remains the same today too

Really fantastic picture with the backdrop of river coovum. Iam still searching for the river thougth the landmark remains intact

Can't believe this is the famous mylapore tank near Kapaleeshwara temple. Now its a buzzing area full of commercial complexes and traffics

Parry's Corner -- Got its name from a EID Parry factory nearby

My chennai patnam of old - Part I

Some photos of my chennai patnam of yore.

I don't know what area exactly this is. But it's written as esplanade madras 1910. I will find this out for sure.

This is Central railway station at chennai. Make sure to see the boatman rowing in the river coovum.

First line beach near Parry's corner.

Moubrays Road. Welcome I don't know where this spot lies. Happy to be a chennaite

The famous Marina beach of old. The background building is the Madras University.

Will come up with more in my next post. Do check back for Today's chennai.
